Merry Christmas! God Jul! Joyeux Noel!

It's been a busy month but I wanted to share my Barbie Christmas Tree with you. We put this tree up in my daughter's bedroom but it's MY tree, lol! My daughter decorated the tree by herself this year! Enjoy! (Click on the photos to enlarge them)

My daughter made the faux gingerbread house that is underneath the tree. I love that tree skirt, I bought it at Hobby Lobby last year and it was 90% off!

The Barbie Shoe Tree ornament is one of my favorites. Some "Lucy" ornaments are on the tree, too.

Rhett and Scarlett ornaments are on the tree. I love Gone With The Wind!

The retro Barbie ornaments are my favorites!

Marilyn Monroe is on the tree, too (long pink dress on the right)! Diamonds are a girls best friend, you know :-)

Malibu Barbie! She was my first Barbie doll!

The Barbie ornament with the white muff is a Christopher Radko ornament. A lot of my Barbie ornaments came from Hallmark.

And I can't forget to mention what Christmas means to me:

But the Angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David, a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you, you will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger." Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests."
Luke 2:10-14

I will be hosting Christmas Day festivities at my home (for about 20 family members) so it will be a fun and busy day. I'm off to wrap Christmas presents, I haven't wrapped any yet! I hope you and your family have a fabulous and Merry Christmas!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I thought I would show you how I decorated my home for the Thanksgiving holiday. My sister, Jenny, is hosting Thanksgiving this year and and I look forward to eating lots of delicious food and spending time with my family (30+ members!). The Weatherman is forecasting a beautiful day. Enjoy!

I plan to put up Christmas decorations the day after Thanksgiving, no shopping for me (I can't stand the crowds!). Try not to eat too much and have a fabulous "turkey day"!

La Dolce Vita!

I got to live "the sweet life" for a little while last Sunday evening. No, I'm not a celebrity (har har) and I don't own a Centurion American Express card (the black card) but my daughter and I were invited to attend a private shopping event at one of my favorite stores, Anthropologie at Northpark Mall in Dallas. My sister, Jenny and her friend, Sunny bid on this silent auction item (at an event) and won so they were able to invite about 25 friends to this fabulous shopping extravaganza :-) It was so much fun having the entire store to ourselves! Now, if Anthropologie would drop their prices a little bit, I could afford to buy a lot more of their merchandise! Be assured, I didn't walk out empty handed!

Me, Savannah, Jenny

Hmmm......what shall we buy?

The food was yummy for my tummy and the champagne cocktails were to die for!

Whoa...wait a minute! What does my teenage daughter have in her hand? Don't worry, it's just San Pellegrino!

I could live in this store....I'm serious!

The cutest aprons ever and I couldn't leave without purchasing one of them! Many of the aprons having matching child aprons.

Decisions, decisions, decisions!

I spent most of my time in the home decor section. I wanted to buy everything I saw!

My youngest sister, Janel, lives in CA and has been doing quite a bit of modeling. Most of her photos are usually retro style (1930's, 40's, 50's) but her friend designs clothes and asked her to model for her website, Thomasscelli. I love this dress! Janel said that her friend (who designed this dress) is teaching her how to sew and she just purchased a brand new sewing machine. She has been making purses and tote bags for herself with retro fabrics (her home is decorated with 1940-50's decor). This is a really good photo of her.

I'm going to try to post the photos of my Fall Decor next week. I will start putting up Christmas decorations next Friday. I can't believe Christmas is almost here...time sure does fly!
I hope everyone has a fabulous day!

Want eye candy? You got it!

Welcome! Come right into this charming shop, and you will be tempted to spend every dime you've got, LOL! Okay, so I'm not the world's best poet but you get the idea :-) I recently met my Mom and my sister, Jenny for lunch at the Dove's Nest Restaurant and gift shop located in my hometown of Waxahachie, TX. After a yummy lunch we decided to walk off some of those calories by strolling around the shop! I was so happy to see that the store was decorated for the Holiday season. Come with me on a little tour:

(Click on the photos to enlarge them)

These are the cutest shirts I've ever seen! I absolutely adore sock monkeys and I am instantly attracted to anything I see with a sock monkey on it.

My sister purchased this shirt for one of her sons and he gets a lot of compliments on it when he wears it! Both of her sons have a small sock monkey doll collection.

My Mom:

I love this display...ooh-la-la!

Black and white combos are always a favorite of mine:

So divine!

This is my favorite part of the shop!

I hope you enjoyed shopping with me and it didn't cost you one penny!

I couldn't end this post without gushing about some other eye candy: the new James Bond movie, Quantum of Solace! My sister called me last night and asked me to play hooky today so that we could watch this movie (she had the day off)! I had other plans so I couldn't do it, but I was very tempted! I hope I get to see this movie soon.

Oooooohhhhh myyyyyy! Put a guy in a tux and his "hotness rating" instantly climes to a "10", LOL!

Run, baby, run! Chase down those bad guys :-) Keep the world safe for us!

Of course there's a little eye candy for the guys, too! Olga Kurylenko is so beautiful. I first saw her in the Hitman movie and I thought she was so striking.
I hope you enjoyed this little installment of "eye candy".
Have a fabulous day!
