I would like to thank Marina at Only Cute Things for hosting this fabulous party! I look forward to seeing lots of photos from lots of beautiful homes! I only posted photos of various vignettes around my home because I am in the middle of packing up my house for our move to our new home! I am so excited! We were going to build a new home but were fortunate to find a foreclosed home that needed very little work. We will be moving over the next two weeks. I can't wait to decorate my new home and I look forward to showing you photos of the new home soon! My home decor is a mixture of vintage and new decor along with expensive and inexpensive decor. And now for the tour....

My kitchen is French Country Style. These little vignettes are inside the French style hutch that I bought at an auction:
I bought this little bird at Dollar Tree recently...only $1!

My maternal Grandpa collected clocks and I inherited some of them after he passed away. I collect plates and I have quite a few of them that I love to decorate my home with.

Hallway decor:
The large gold crown and black metal tray were purchased at Hobby Lobby. The two smaller crowns are Christmas ornaments and the vintage flowers and postcards are from an estate sale.

The ceramic fleur de lis is from Home Goods. The keys are Christmas ornaments.

The candle rings are a recent purchase from Dollar Tree ($1 each). I may add some flowers and ribbon to them later on.

This is the piano that my Dad bought for my Mom right after we moved to Texas from Illinois when I was about four years of age. Also shown are my wedding portrait, vintage sheet music (from an antique store) and various family photos.

I love tapestries and I own three of them. The blue vase was given to me by my Aunt and Uncle and was purchased in Europe. My uncle was a Chaplain/Colonel in the Army and they lived in Germany for several years and acquired several beautiful antiques and collectibles from all over Europe.

The bakers rack in my Master Bedroom is fun to decorate. The apothecary jar is from Home Goods and I filled it with Christmas ornaments. Also shown is a picture of my kids when they were little, an antique bowl from my Grandma Frances that is filled with Christmas ornaments, vintage leather gloves, books, etc.
The cake topper was from my parents wedding cake! The floral arrangement is from Michaels and the faux Mercury glass candle holder is from Target (all recent finds).
The bird pictures are a recent find from Home Goods. The bird/nest and tea light came from Michaels and the pottery jug was made by my sister Jenny and her husband who have been making pottery since they were in high school. They are getting ready to fire up their new wood burning kiln in a couple of weeks (built by my BIL and his Dad).

The cherubs are from Michaels and they were $1 each!

The Swedish Bible belonged to my Great Grandma Greta and I have 2 sets of those birds :-) More vintage postcards from my large collection.
