Christmas Love

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around my home.  I am busy putting the finishing touches on my Christmas decorations ( too many, as usual), shopping, wrapping presents, shipping orders and doing a little Holiday cooking.
I hope you're staying safe, warm and cozy :)

I recently pulled my website to change hosting but all of these items are available in my Etsy shop for a little bit longer...

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope you, your friends and family have a fabulous Thanksgiving this year.  Even though times are tough in our country I still feel that we have so many things to be thankful for.
I want to share my Autumn decorations with you, I hope you enjoy them.
Wishing you many blessings this Holiday season!

Another Thanksgiving banner made with my gift tags.
Fireplace in the Formal Living.  Those are real preserved leaves.

Fireplace in the Family Room.  The banner if from the Martha Steward Collection.
More preserved leaves.
The square plate on the left is from Ross...$1.99!  The "mushrooms" are Christmas ornaments that I bought after Christmas last year.
The large "acorn" (on the left) is a Christmas ornament, too.
Chenille Spiders and Ghosts that my daughter made when she was a little girl.  Sadly, she doesn't remember making them :(
I love the dried gourds and the Charlie Brown book and record!
This little blue chair has been in my family for a long time.  It's one of my favorite items.
My Foyer
The ivory plate on the left is from Marshalls.  More preserved leaves.  The Home Interior brand musical boy and girl was on our family piano when I was growing up.
I purchased most of the vintage style Halloween decorations at Michaels a few years ago.

Let's Cook!

(Salsa not shown)
This quiche style pie is super easy to make and is really delicious.  The original recipe came from BettyCrocker.com but I added the chicken and changed a couple of ingredients.  You could omit the chicken and add ham or sausage if you wish.

Impossibly Easy Quesadilla Pie (Julie's version)
1 can (4.5 ounces) Old El Paso chopped green chiles, well drained
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese (8 ounces)
1 teaspoon chopped fresh cilantro (I added 2-3 teaspoons because I love cilantro)
3/4 cup Original Bisquick mix
1 1/2 cups milk
3 eggs
shredded or cut up chicken (2 cups or so)
Salsa, sour cream and cilantro for garnish
1.  Heat oven to 400 degrees F.
Grease 9-inch pie plate.  Sprinkle chilies, cheese, cilantro and chicken in pie plate.
2.  Stir remaining ingredients until blended.  Pour into pie plate.
3.  Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 5 minutes.  Serve with salsa, sour cream and cilantro if desired.

My new recipe cards are available at my Etsy shop, just in time for the Holidays!
